Preview of upcoming modern house "Acha"

Here are a couple of scenes from a work in progress. It's a modern miniature house in 1/12 scale called Acha. The structure is a multi-room house featuring multiple viewpoints, water effectgs, and lighting mechanisms. It is scheduled--I hope--to be on display at the Chicago International show in April 2013. Hope to provide some more updates as the work progresses.

  1. I can't wait to see it next year in Chicago, Erik. I'm loving the 'mysterious, floating glass staircase!'

  2. Thanks Bell and Crow! John, look forward to seeing your creation take shape!

  3. Hello Erik,
Your room is absolutely stunning. You really make me want to work on a miniature setting. I think period rooms are much easier because you can hide faults with less effort then in a sleek, clean modern interior.
I am always imporessed by your work.
    All the best,

  4. Giac, in many ways you are correct. There is a bit less room for error when you have less "stuff" to hide imperfections. But look at the grandeur! Your floor in the Chinese room based on your reserarch of those exotic Victorian corners is stunning. I should be so lucky to match your skill!
